Bush fires: Oceanium is concerned!

From March throughout mid of June, the teams of Oceanium again roamed around Senegal to put out bush fires. Armed with sticks, rakes and a lot of courage, our "fire fighters of nature" take huge risks to put out as much fires as possible.

Just a reminder: Senegal has lost almost half of its forest surface within the last 50 years (from 11 million to 6,3 million hectares today) and 1500 bush fires are recorded every year.

After the first experience in last year (around 40 fires put out), Oceanium is looking for partners, which would help us to improve our means of fighting bush fires and to sensitise villages and authorities. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
